WHAT A POOR START TO MANCHESTER'S LEGENDARY STAT SINCE 1989

It is no news that Manchester United has been on poor form this season which has been one of the worst ever in their startling statistics, tussling to get four wins out of ten in which the season opener  started on a good note of reference is not a Man U thing and one of the wins was as a result of penalty shoot-out with a club with a low esteemed team value that's not even enough to sign a single player in Manchester United first eleven from the lower England League division - League one. Their most recent flop occurred on the 3rd of October against Az Alkmaar, a team in the Eredivisie in Netherlands. Looking at their performance in the campaign so far, I came up with the following deductions.

THE POST FERGUSON ERA FACTOR :

Since the greatest manager Manchester United ever had retired , there has been deterioration and incompetency looming around the squad resulting into reduction in the number of trophies, showing the most vulnerable measure of how unambitious the club has been over the years, their performance also lacks consistency, a total factor that cannot be neglected when it comes to being successful in the game. The Manchester United of Sir Alex would have capitalised on the four nil win over Chelsea and use it as a scaffold to send other teams to their early graves, even if the win has to be fluke

who cares? And what do Manchester United keep having as the season progresses?

Series of inconsistencies in the performance of arguably the best football club in England.

Manchester United sure needs a man of Sir Alex Ferguson pragmatism, intellect and decision making skills though no one needed to be blamed.

  • ED WOODWARD IS ONLY GOOD AS AN UNDERGROUND KING:

Woodward assumed the role of the executive vice-chairman of Manchester United in 2012 and the other narration becomes history. Before his appointment as the ultimate decision maker of the football club, he has served in the area of financial planning as well as the commercial and media operations roles, areas where he thrived and made quite some money for the club . The commercial revenue of the club stood at £117.6m a feat regarded as one of the biggest in the club's history, consequently he was name the executive vice-chairman. He has failed to make necessary and important signings over the years and he's responsible for why important players left the club. Under his reign was the signing of Alexis Sanchez in a swap deal with Arsenal using Mkhitaryan in the deal which cost Manchester United quite a fortune where fans still look forward to have worthy signings from the management.

  • SQUAD STRENGTH IS AVERAGE AT BEST:

Taking Manchester United Premiership current table position as a case study with grudges aside and no sting of being biased only Paul Pogba can arguably make the first eleven of all the other top clubs in the league's table. United most sensational 21 years old Daniel James can only manage to make  the first eleven of Tottenham and perhaps Arsenal and Chelsea, Wan Bissaka is also a good player and perhaps Harry Maguire, Rashford or Martial can make the first eleven of the teams in the top 6. But none of Manchester United's players can make the first eleven of the two most excited clubs in the premier league at the moment which needed to be work upon - fitting among the best.
